State #7: Florida. 06/15/2016

After checking out a San Francisco Giants home game last month, I decided to go the other side of the country to check them out again, but on the road in the dome!  The Giants were making a rare trip to Tampa and circumstances just so happened to line up so that I was able to make the trip!  And while in Florida, why not have a slurpee!!!

This wasn't just any slurpee, however... it was a Orlando City SC Slurpee!!  Orlando City SC are a Major League Soccer club and this flavor promoted the team.  I don't know anything about them, but their slurpee flavor is off the charts!!!

I'm posting this from Florida and haven't gone to the game yet... hope the Giants win!!

During a quick visit to California to lay down some tracks for a new album coming out, I went ahead and knocked CA off the slurpee list!  My brother and his dog Febe accompanied me to a local 7-eleven where they surprisingly had both COKE and PEPSI options!!!  I had tried the pepsi earlier, but for the official photo, I got a good mango flavor.  It was great!!  The location of this awesome 7-eleven is:

State #5: Nevada. 11/22/2015

During Thanksgiving holiday while visiting family in Calfornia, I had the chance to get a slurpee in California.. so, like the smart person I am, I drove all the way to Nevada instead.  Really, I went to Nevada with my brother to attend a D-League basketball game between the Reno Big Horns and the Santa Cruz Warriors, and got a slurpee while in Reno, since I know I'll have plenty of opportunities in the future to get one in California.  (That's where I'm from!)

State #4: Texas. 08/02/2015

The San Francisco Giants came to Arlington in 2015 to face the Texas Rangers, and you know what that means... I'm off to Texas to see the Giants!  And on the way, I decided to stop at a 7-11 and grab another slurpee to knock off the second largest state in the country, Texas!

The Giants lost a close one to Texas, and this was Mike Leake's first appearance as a Giant.. he did okay during his time in San Francisco but ended up going to the Cardinals during the off-season.

State #3: Oklahoma. 04/10/2015

I've had literally hundreds of 7-Eleven icy's in Oklahoma since I've lived there off and on since 2002! Still, I had to make it official... so I chose April 10th, 2015 to do it since it was an exciting day as my favorite NBA team the Sacramento Kings were in town to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

They lost 116-103, but what can you expect against Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook?? 

The 7-Elevens in the Oklahoma City area are a bit different than the ones everywhere else in the country... they are locally owned and instead of slurpees, they sell Icy's.  They actually, believe it or not, taste amazing and, in my opinion, even better than the slurpee (if that's possible)!  

On the way back from the game, I stopped at a 7-Eleven, and officially knocked Oklahoma off my list at...

State #2: Missouri. 10/28/2014.

October is always an exciting time for me because it's playoff time in Major League Baseball.  It's even more special when my favorite team, the San Francisco Giants are involved.  In 2014, the Giants were not only involved, but made it to the World Series for the 3rd time in 5 years!  They were playing the Kansas City Royals, and I got tickets to Game 6, which took place in Kansas City, Missouri, which meant... an opportunity to knock another state off my slurpee list!!

Missouri became the second state to get knocked off the list when I made a 7-11 stop on the way to the game (same thing as my first slurpee, except that was the state of Kansas.. this time I made sure to stop in Missouri).  I'm glad I got it before the game, because it wouldn't have tasted as good after the Giants lost 10-0!  (Luckily, they won Game 7 and the World Series).  I got this slupree at...
