State #1: Kansas. 08/09/2014.

I had my first slurpee at the young age of 7 at a corner 7-11 store in California.  I haven't stopped since.  Being active in the local running community, I recently heard of a complicated and amazing quest being attempted by local runner named Camille:

I thought, what a great idea! Except, I know I could never run a marathon in every state. I have run one in Oklahoma... and half marathons in two states! But signing up for and making it to a race in every state is a bit too much physically and financially.

SLURPEES, however, are cheap... quick... and if I can just manage to get one passing through a state, BOOM! -- That state is taken care of! So... I decided to begin the Quest for a Slurpee in EVERY State! Now, certain states may not have a 7-11, in which case I'll have to find the closest thing... such as the ICEE drink. But, that aside, I will attempt to drink a 7-11 Slurpee (or similar drink if no 7-11's exist) in EVERY STATE!

STATE #1: KANSAS
